A dynamic group of female artists from Guatemala City has recently returned home with a mission to impact their community through art and music. After a transformative residency in Barcelona, where they immersed themselves in creative exploration, these artists are harnessing their talents to address significant social issues like domestic violence and gender inequality back home.
Introducing “Art Empowerment”
This group has launched “Art Empowerment,” a platform that highlights the voices and talents of female artists across Guatemala City. Despite challenges such as limited funding, this diverse collective—featuring talents from painting to music—successfully organized a celebrated exhibition and music festival.
